walk by the spirit: conduct one's life according to the Word and operate the manifestations of holy spirit

walk the talk and talk the walk: walk by the spirit and speak accordingly

Way Corps: The Way's four-year leadership training program and its members

Way International, The: Also known as The Way Ministry, The Way, or "the ministry"

Way Tree: the organizational structure of The Way. Each member is a leaf; a fellowship of three or more is a Twig (now known as a household fellowship); a group of these is a Branch; a group of Branches in large states is an Area; a Limb is a state; a group of Limbs is a Region; a Trunk is a country; Headquarters and other Corps training facilities are Root locales.

wineskin: Craig Martindale's term for former members of The Way, from Jesus' saying that new wine bursts old bottles (wineskins).

witnessing: speaking the Word; recruiting new members

Word, in the: involved in the ministry: "When did you get in the Word?"

Word, off the: contrary to the Bible

Word, on the: in agreement with the Bible

Word, the: the Bible as originally given by revelation from God

word of knowledge: revelation whereby God imparts information

word of wisdom: revelation whereby God gives instruction

Word Over the World: The Way's former motto and goal, now changed to "the Prevailing Word"

work the Word: study the Bible

world: the dominion of Satan, "the god of this world"; often used to refer to the sum of devilish influences

WOW: Word Over the World ambassador, a volunteer for a year of service in an assigned city, working part-time and witnessing full-time; the program was canceled in 1994

WOW vet: one who has completed a WOW year

You're the best: a common salutation; inspired by Victor Paul Wierwille, who often closed teachings with "God bless, I love you, you are the best."

Zero Corps: a group of nine members, originally called the First Corps, who joined the first Way Corps program and all quit or were dismissed
